iScope

Created by a doctor for doctors

A first of its kind, all-in-one digital medical device for general practitioners to examine and perform minor procedures on the ears, eyes and skin.

Help bring this Australian innovation to the market which will revolutionise and digitally transform medical devices available to GPs .

The problem

Doctors in general practice do not have access to affordable devices that support effectively performing minor procedures like ear wax removal with suction, and foreign body removal of the eye under magnified vision.  In addition, today’s devices do not support easy digital documentation and require very close proximity of the doctor’s face to the patient during use.

The solution

The iScope combines the functions of multiple medical devices general practitioners are using today into one digital medical device which additionally supports billable procedures and easy digital documentation. The unique capability to perform examinations at arm’s length will be more comfortable for doctors and patients, particularly as the recent Covid-19 pandemic has made us all more sensitive to these issues. The iScope can also save patients’ time and money by avoiding specialist consultations.

Invest in the iScope

The path to commercial release is well understood by our experienced, Australian medical device design and development experts. The team has a strategy in place and is ready to take this product through prototyping, development to manufacturing and sales.

The community is invited to invest in the iScope and help bring this innovative new medical device to market.

The iScope story so far

JD Sanmed was founded by Dr Olaf Rusoke-Dierich who developed the iScope product as a solution to problems he and his colleagues in General Practice experienced firsth and, every day. JD Sanmed has developed a comprehensive market model and assessment.

Having been selected into the Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP), we are currently engaged in building a proof of concept prototype as part of their program of partnership between industry and academia.

We are now seeking funding to take the resulting prototype through to a commercial product design and to finish securing our IP position.
